On 27 April 2022, a delegation of the OECD visited ITENE´s facilities and MERLIN’s Project Coordinator, José Luis Diéguez, accurately explained the work performed under the MERLIN project.
On a tour of ITENE’s laboratories and pilot plants, the OECD delegation – OCDE headed by Claire Charbit, Head of the Territorial Dialogues and Migration Unit at the OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities – learned about research projects ITENE is working on to move towards circular economy, focusing on:
- New sustainable materials: SEALIVE (#Horizon2020) and AGROMATTER (CDTI);
- Valorisation of waste plastics: ENZYCLE (#Horizon2020), MERLIN (#Horizon2020) and VALQUIBIO (IVACE).
At the end of the tour, a meeting was held with representatives of the Directorate General for Relations with the European Union and the State (DGRUE) of the Regional Government of the Valencian Community, headed by its Director General, Daría Terrádez Salom, and the Valencian Institute for Business Competitiveness (IVACE) – IVACE, Julia Company.
